Please Chance a Prospective Transfer to UPenn, UChic, Notre Dame, CMC, etc.

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>Please help me out with your opinions and input, it will be greatly appreciated!
Also, if you want to help revise my essays, just let me know! </p>

<p>I’ll be applying to these schools:</p>

<p>CMC
UChicago
UNotre Dame
UPenn</p>

<p>And I’m thinking about Brown, Boston College, and Tufts (if you attend these schools, please provide your opinions of the schools, I’m still unsure if I want to apply to these schools)</p>

<p>Currently, I’m a Political Science Major, but intend on majoring in Economics once I matriculate into the new school. </p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>College -
Attending CSU Sacramento
GPA: 3.86 (Completed 15 units, hopefully taking 19 units next semester.)
Honors Program (but I’m thinking of quitting)
Extra-curricular: Student Representative in the University Budget Committee, Member of the Financial Relations Committee, College Republicans, Students Economics Association, and I’ll be interning for an Assemblyman during the Spring.
Recommendations: 1) Honors Math Professor I debate politics with her after every class. 2) History Professor who graduated from Notre Dame who offered to write me a letter. </p>

<p>High School -
GPA: 3.89 W
ACT: 30 Composite w/ 9 Writing Sub-score, 27 Composite w/ 11 Writing Sub-score (should I report both?)
Extra-curricular: Student Member on the GUSD Board of Education, CA Youth Speaker of the Assembly, National Honors Society, and President of the American Politics Club</p>

<p>Edit: Also, I am thinking about applying to schools I got rejected last year (such as GTown, Tufts, and Vanderbilt). Any idea on if that is a good idea or not?</p>

<p>You have a really strong chance at notre dame, others are so unpredictable that is very hard to say anything with certainty though I think that you should apply to all these places…nothing ventured nothing gained…also look into other colleges like UVA and Northwestern whose econ programs are at the top while having sane acceptance rates</p>

<p>Notre Dame accepts a lot of transfers but their admissions is very strange and will depend on your essays–making yourself a good fit and so on–and where your from. U of Chicago will be a huge stretch if you apply as an Econ major, its incredibly difficult to get into that program.</p>

<p>Vanderbilt may be your best shot out of all of them-they’re very transfer friendly.</p>
