Please chance me for Boston University ED or Northeastern Boston Campus ED listed and put your or your child's stats (deferred, waitlisted, accepted, or rejected) if possible

Hi.
I am interested in computer science for Boston University and pharmacy for Northeastern, but I’m not sure what I should do Early Decision for.

I don’t really have good stats, but I’m a rising junior, and here are my classes:
1 AP (junior year) or possibly 2 AP
Rest are honors
GPA: 3.87 (uw), 4.2 or 4.3 (w)
Test optional for SAT and ACT

Extracurricular (next to none):
Star scout
Tutoring online since start of summer (50+ hours)
Volunteer at library (5 hours)
No clubs, sports, awards, or instrument.
Plan on internship next year.

Chance me. I’m open to all criticism :I

I think you need to figure out if you are actually interested in the two careers you are considering! Why pharmacy? Why these two schools? What else is on your list and what are you looking for in a college??? And if you don’t know yet…that’s fine. Take the time to visit, talk to students at a bunch of schools, figure out what you are looking for. ED should be for your absolute favorite which you know your family can afford…not just for a school which has pharmacy which you may or may not be interested in pursuing!

Slow down!

can you afford to pay sticker at BU?

I think you have a full year to figure out if either of these colleges is your top choice. And the accompanying major your top interest.

Please take your time. You don’t have to make this decision until a year from now.

I don’t think my parents could afford, but they keep saying they could. I am interested mainly because I have learned quite a bit about computer science in particular due to online sources and from family member, who has background in both careers. I have strong interest in CS and my cousin is actually wanting to pursue pharmacy (same stats as me). Do you think me or him have a chance?

What sticker?

These are very different careers. What do you want to spend you life doing, every day, for maybe 30 years (and maybe a bit longer)?

Can you afford to be full pay at either BU or NEU for four years without taking on debt? If not, have you or your parents run the NPCs?

To me, someone who is uncertain between computer science versus pharmacy does not sound like someone who should be applying ED anywhere. You have a pretty good GPA. You do not need to apply ED to get accepted to a very good university.

sticker, as in sticker price, full cost of attendance.

It was my cousin who wanted pharmacy, but unfortunately, he did not want to create an account for this website. He has the same stats as me since we grew up together. Do you think we have any chance?

It would be much appreciated if any of you share stats of you or your children who went in either, or applied to. Thank you for those who replied!
Would like to see more replies though.

My parents are certain to pay full cost before graduation, even though I have a older sibling attending college as well..
What is the total cost that some of you went out of with CS? I also know that the pharmacy program at NEU has no summer breaks after freshmen year in order to complete in 6 years. How much was that?

I’ve seen people with much better GPA.

Anyone considering these schools as well? Could you share me your stats or advices?

Your cousin needs to ask their own questions under their account. Asking for a nin-dependant isn’t allowed. Closing
