Please Chance Me for Columbia!

Hi guys, please share what you believe my chances are of getting into Columbia and where I am lacking. Anything would be of great help.

If this is helpful, I attend a rigorous (and highly competitive!) nationally ranked high school on the West Coast and am interested in majoring in sociology with a minor in Spanish. I would also like to take several business courses (this is all theoretical, as I do not know whether or not I will be accepted).

GPA (unweighted): 4.0
SAT: 2200
Course Load: AP Psychology, Pre-Calculus, AP Physics, Spanish, AP English

Extracurriculars
• I am very passionate about community service and have been for years. I have traveled to Haiti twice and have learned Creole at a working proficiency. From this, I have written and self-published a picture book for children, run a fashion show to raise money to produce in large volumes, and worked with an organization to send out books to various mountainous villages. This has been one of my greatest accomplishments and something I think is very unique.
• Debate team vice president
• Advanced choir
• Future Business Leaders of America club
• Spanish club president
• I run a cooking website for teenagers
• Tutor children after school
• University of Pennsylvania Leadership in the Business World summer program
• Summer camp counselor
• Volunteering at the public library
• Nordstrom BP Fashion Board
• National Merit Scholar

Thank you!

I think my friend went to the same summer program :)

Your extracurriculars are really awesome, but I’m not sure if they make up for your smaller test scores section. Did you not take any APs before? Or the ACT? Or SAT Subject Tests? I think any of those could go toward making your application much better! Any sort of “numbers” could help.
