<p>Okay, so I got deferred from Duke ED probably because of first quarter senior year grades (my upward trend leveled out) :frowning: but please chance me for Dartmouth RD. Also, if it affects me in anyway, a kid from my school got in ED.</p>

<p>You didn’t forget to mention it, and I’m not sure if your hispanic status helps you all that much. Your activities like spending time at a Summer business institute and Georgetown University Entrepreneuship institute, fouding your own non-profit organization, and going to a private school all indicate that you are not an under-privileged Hispanic candidate. I’m not going to judge if you are privileged or not, but it sounds like it. Therefore, a school like Dartmouth or Duke would exect your GPA to be higher, and possibly your SAT because of the opportunities you have been afforded, regardless of your race.</p>

<p>Really good ECs…I’m in the same boat with an upward trend & strong standardized tests. Having a tough course load will help justify the lower grades. I think your ECs could be enough to get you in!!</p>

<p>As a current student, I’d say you seem like a pretty good fit. However, college admissions always produce a few surprises. I got rejected by Brown but accepted to Dartmouth. Two years later, a guy from my high school got into Brown and Duke but got rejected by all seven other Ivies.</p>

<p>Have you thought about doing cross country or track in college? Since we’re such a small school, many of the spots go to athletes so they can fill the teams.</p>
