Dear volatile : Your SAT scores are excellent and will certainly flag you for the Honors Program. On the downside, your resume is rather one dimensional in its focus on purely academic pursuits. For example, have you played/participated on any sports teams? Do you have a musical interest, either singing or playing an instrument? Your AP scores are solid, but to be one of the fifteen chosen from 31,000 applications you are going to have to demonstrate significantly more scope than excellent academics. Your mock trial skills should help you with the interview process associated with the presidential scholar’s weekend. Hopefully, your essay skills will also be able to meet the grade.
