Rigor is important for Purdue but Polytech is a bit less competitive. As I noted up thread, your stats put you in the mix: Purdue First-Year Admission Criteria - Requirements & Process

If you have an assured and affordable school on your list, then don’t worry.

If someone turns you down, oh well. Their loss.

This is why you apply to multiple.

You got into Albany. Does it meet budget ? If so, now the pressure is off.

In the end, just pulling names and saying I’ll apply here - what do you really know about them.

Assuming Albany hits budget, you’ve won.

The cake is baked.

If you get any more, that’s just icing.

Congrats and take a deep breath. If Purdue says no, no issue. I wanted my kids to have someone say no. It shows you that you pushed to a level high enough.

You’re good. Apply and they’ll tell you. But right now, you’ve already won!!

So I am fine for rigor for most of the colleges on my list?

Let’s say you get into Purdue.

It won’t hit budget.

Can you even attend ?

good point

What about RIT?

Does florida add weight for dual enrollment or just honors and ap?

You got into Albany. You can afford it. Apply and see.

RIT has need. I don’t think you get enough merit aid.

Florida GPA

  • Dual-enrollment courses in academic core areas and any AP, IB or AICE classes receive an extra 1.0 credit weight, meaning that an A is worth a 5.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Pre-AICE, pre-AP, pre-IB and Honors classes receive a 0.5 credit weight, meaning that an A is worth a 4.5 on a 4.0 scale.

I have great news. I was admitted to the University of Delaware(around 65-69 percent acceptance rate), and St Joes(36k scholarship!).

My straight A besides one B 34 act daughter went to UD and absolutely loved it! She went to BU for her doctorate. Congratulations! And I tried pushing her sister to go to St. Joe’s, great merit.

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations :tada:
Is UDel within budget?
Are you going to go&visit, arrange to spend a day with students or something?
Do you already have favorites?
In any case :clap::tada:

St Joes will be under $40k. So it and Albany are within budget. Two great acceptances to consider. Congrats. See nothing to worry about.
