Essays/LORs/Other
All my recs are 10/10 I am 100% sure
They admit 10% international. How many are ful pay is the question. They are need aware for all but like many, likely rely on international for more revenue (ie full pay or full pay minus the normal $25k merit). I wish you luck but if I had to guess, at $15k I’d say unlikely.
Also, you don’t know what they would determine your need to be. You could get in but be asked to pay more.
Thank you for for your reply. So basically they admit 3-5 students from my country on 100% aid every year. Also, I am hoping a mix of merit scholarship and aid.
The 15k budget may be the biggest hindrance but otherwise you stand as strong a chance as anyone else with need in your world region. Whether you’ll be one of the few picked is unknowable but you aren’t wrong to hope.
Do you have other admissions already? Have you applied anywhere else?
Good luck! Don’t forget to let us know how it turns out
Yeah sure, I will. I am being deferred from all the univeristies (6 out of 55 I have applied to) for now. But UMiami might be the only US University that PERFECTLY fits for my intended major/application. Yeah I hope I am admitted. I have shown DI too.
Second, you are an excellent applicant, however, admissions for an international student who requires substantial financial aid at a college which is need aware is extremely challenging.
I see that you have applied elsewhere (it seems that you applied to a very large number of elsewheres).
I think you know that what you entered on the Profile has zero relationship to what the school calculates as your family contribution.
I hope amongst your 55 college applications that you have at least one sure thing for admission that is affordable that you would be happy to attend.
You certainly are a strong student, and I’m sure you will land somewhere where you will grow and thrive…assuming your level of competitiveness for admissions includes a sure thing for admission.
Please let us know! I’ll hope for a positive and affordable outcome for you!
