<p>I will repeat SAT Reas for one last time in October. Should I retake Math 2 in June as a standby testing or do it in November? Does 750 look weak?</p>
<p>‘Lots of EC’s’ are kind of too general, leadership, volunteering? Etc. Gonna need that to chance.</p>
<p>I think you should retake your SAT’S I more than anything, for the schools you mentioned, I’d suggest a 2200+ min. Though I noticed you haven’t improved much since you took it, perhaps consider the ACT as well?</p>

<p>Hey Honorlions, I have improved 120 pts in writing and dropped 60 pts in Math. I hate to say ‘if’ here. But I am confident that my Math will be a 800 and writing will be a 720+, and CR will not go above 700. I am looking at 2200+. BTW, I hate to be crtic here. By missing 2or 3 math (level 4), and 4 writing qns (level 4,5), I am not considering myself less than a guy who is better exam taker. If I can not get in, so be it. Rice and Emory Admission directors have expressed great interest in me. I care less for SAT BS. So be it. I know that I am a better candidate than guys who are scoring 2300 in SAT. I can do well in any university. I am upbeat about it. Sorry to brag.</p>

<p>I was just saying that a rise in SAT’s would help, no need to brag your connections with Emory and Rice. You an athlete or something? I’ve never heard ‘expressed interest’ without something like that.</p>
<p>And I’m sure you can do well in any university, but question is how the adcoms will know this. I’m pretty sure one use of the SAT’s is to determine how well you’ll do in college.</p>
<p>I got a 2300 on my SAT. You very well may be a “better candidate” then I am. But low SAT scores always hurt. We’re just evaluating your chances. Isn’t that what you asked for? Or were you hoping for a pat on the back?</p>
<p>Plus, the ridiculous hostility you exhibited when we suggested that you raise your SAT scores suggests that you have some insecurities. It’s the internet, bro. Don’t try to talk trash over the internet. You end up looking like a tool.</p>
<p>Edit: I would suggest retaking the Math SAT II again: I got a 750 also and I always felt like it was a weak point on my application.</p>

<p>No need to retake SAT II’s. Anything above 700 is acceptable. 750+ is fine.</p>
<p>I would retake the SAT I’s once more, but no more than that. If you want to take another test, try the ACT. Ideally, you want your scores 750+, but 700+'s are fine. I took the ACT and my SAT equivalent for ACT was considerably higher, so just give that a thought (i.e. 2200 vs. 34 (2280)).</p>
<p>Just a plug-in for Stanford, Stanford values creativity and intellectual vitality in their students. I’ve seen many 2400/Valedictorians, but I’ve seen an even greater share of “less” qualified (in standardized testing sense) students. Your essays and E.C.'s will be the key factor. Like I’ve always said, your AP/SAT/Standardized test scores only get you considered. Your essays/LOR’s/E.C.'s will get you accepted.</p>
<p>Your SAT Reasoning, as many have already stated, will eat you alive.</p>
<p>Thanks for your comments. Let the games begin. I am not devasted with my scores. I am not let the world judge based on 8 or 9 qns those I miss. So be it. I admit that I am not the gifted exam taker in the world. For me, there is lot more than SAT. I am not trying to be arrogant here. Let us see what happens in October (SAT Reas) and November (when I take my SAT Math 2 again). Thanks for all of your input. I appreciate it.</p>
<p>If there is so much more than SAT’s for you than why’d you ask for a chance me on this. You sound like some arrogant child who gets angry at anyone who says they aren’t perfect. </p>
<p>SAT’s make up a big portion of your admission chances, unless your parents have donated a library to any college you decide to apply to.</p>
