I talked to a rep and apparently their program is starting to make a name for itself, and im hoping to get some $ from their debate team and such, also i love atlanta

I checked Emory’s Common Data Set. Your SATs and GPA are within the middle 25-75% of entering students (albeit towards the lower end of the ranges) at Emory and you are a URM which should help you have a reasonable shot at admission. And they met 100% of the need of those that qualify for it. Tomorrow is the application deadline for their merit scholarships (Emory Scholars), but you need to have been nominated by your HS.

oh, im already late, besides i visited the campus, it didnt suit my interests, thanks for the suggestion though, i appreciate it, do u have any predictions of the schools on my list?

How much $$$ could you possibly expect to get from their debate team??? I can’t imagine that you’d get ANYTHING as an incoming freshmen, and even not much as an upperclassman.

Isn’t GT have a Cost of Attendance of about $40k per year for out of state students?

well i wud get 5-6 k for the debate, 10k from florida pre paid, and i hope to get near 20 in merit to leave me with under 10 in tuition per yr…keep in mind ga tech isnt my first nor second nor third nor fourth choice
