Please chance me? Worried about low test score

could someone go a head and chance me?
Good full resume, 4.0 gpa upward trend all most advanced classes
22 out of 180, class officer three years, from a small town in texas, dad didnt attend college, good recs, accomplished equestrian, good writer with unique essay. Test score 1870, 1240 math 600 and critical reading 640
Trinity College
Colgate
Villanova
Lehigh university
Sewanee
Tulane

Your chances are good to very good.
Your SAT score is going to hurt you a little at Trinity and Colgate (unless you mean Trinity TX, where it’d be a match), and a lot at Lehigh. However if your essay is memorable and with a 4.0 in a competitive program, the SAT score may be offset.
Is Villanova your safety? Have you applied to your state flagship’s Honors program?
Have you looked at colleges that have equestrian teams? Can you contact them? This may open things up a bit (ie, if they recruit you for riding, they may disregard the relative weakness that is your SAT score - relative because it’s a decent score.)
These would include schools such as Skidmore, St Lawrence, Amherst, Brown, Bryn Mawr, Mount Holyoke, Yale. Of those, if you’re a competitive equestrian, Skidmore, St Lawrence, and Mount Holyoke would be least out of reach.
(Academic safeties with good equestrian programs would be Hollins, Alfred, Centenary NJ)

I don’t necessarily want to ride in college because study abroad is really important to me but I should probably look into it more regardless. I’m from a small Texan town so I’m hoping that will also help me get into those northeastern schools. Currently I think trinity is my top choice or Colgate. But I think my scores are especially low for Colgate. Thanks for the help. Also, does anyone have any safety schools based off of academics? It doesn’t have to be good equestrian schools, just decent schools that could be matches !

Those schools would be D3 so you wouldn’t be prevented from going abroad. You’d probably ride freshman year to start with. It’d help with admissions, but it would NOT be an athletic scholarship. At D3 schools all athletes must be able to do the work and must be students first.
I’d add Hamilton since you’re first gen, I’d contact the equestrian program at Mount Holyoke, Skidmore, St Lawrence (matches for you) and why not contact it at Brown or Amherst?
Trinity TX, Southwestern, and Austin would all be safeties, as would be most liberal arts colleges ranked 55+and regional universities ranked 1-5. Truman State and UMN Morris would be two low-cost safety schools, too.

Okay, I’ll definitely look into it! Thank you so much for your advice. Do you know about any safety schools in CT, PA, or MA?? That’s the area I really want to be in. Overall do you think I have a decent chance at trinity college?

in PA: Dickinson and Muhlenberg as matches, Allegheny as a safety. I believe Penn State has an equestrian program, too, but no money for OOS applicants. In MA, check out Wheaton if you haven’t already.

Many of the schools mentioned have IHSA teams, not NCEA teams which fall under the NCAA. I think the only one mentioned that is listed on the NCEA site is Brown, but looking at Brown’s athletics website, it seems that they only show IHSA. There are big differences between IHSA and NCEA. If you want more information, I can elaborate further.

What are you planning to study in college? Do you need scholarship help either merit or need based? The answers to those questions could give us a better idea of colleges to suggest.

Yeah, I’ve tried contacting Brown. Good financial aid would be great and prob necessary. I think St. Lawrence would be a good match for me.

Trinity College - low reach
Colgate - reach
Villanova - high match
Lehigh university - match
Sewanee - match
Tulane - match

For some safety schools, I would look at Fairfield, Bentley, and Penn State.

Also chance me back?
