<p>I am a first generation American and will be the first in my family (besides my brother) to attend college. Also I am out-of-state.</p>
<p>Academics:
- GPA: 3.58 UW 4.44 WEIGHTED
- TOP 10% … last time I checked I was about 94 out of class of 1,200 (somewhere around there)
- 25 on ACT (I know this is very low compared to others - but I took it 5 times and could not bring it up)
- 7 AP classes including classes like AP Music Theory, AP Statistics, AP World History, AP Psychology, AP Chemistry… and plenty of Honors or “pre-ap” classes beginning with freshman year
- Better GPA each year (started with C’s freshman year and got my first straight A’s in high school my second semester of junior year)</p>
<p>Activities/clubs/EC:
- Student Council officer for all 4 years of high school (Student Council Publicist (2 years), Service, Secretary)
- Key Club President for 2 years
- Youth group VP for 1 year, hospitality team
- Various clubs like Asian American Association, TUMS (medical society club), NHS, environmental club,
- Various volunteer work (Race For The Cure, Kids Against Hunger, VBS, mission trip, etc)</p>
<p>I think I had pretty decent essays, and I applied to the early filing period with a major of Psychology (LAS)</p>
