tought to say w/o a ranking, but the schedule looks very difficult... the 32 you hope for could definitely be the difference maker... you're EC's look good, but the lack of a varsity sport could hurt you... keep trying for the higher ACT it could make the difference! what's your rank too?

i'm top 10% prob 15/250, i won't know until next year though

thanks by the way.

do you know if i would have less of a chance of getting into a specific school at notre dame? should i just apply without a major declared?

they say that it does matter what school you are applying to; you don't have to declare your major until sophmore year, but it still matters... If you declare your intended major as engineering, you should have higher math standardized scores, classes (you probably should have taken AP physics)... things like that... if you declare something with english, for example, you should have higher english/reading scores on your ACT... That's the only way it matters... I put down engineering because I had no idea what I wanted to do and my math/science scores were good...

I hope that goblue at the end of your name has absolutely nothing to do with Michigan!

Average ACT is about a 32.4 so you are a bit below average, but you definitly have time to get that up

Try to work on your rank as much as possible, in your case I would shoot for top 5%

GPA-My ND rep told me that one's transcript GPA needs to be taken with a grain of salt. A student with a 4.0 gpa with a few Aps and a few honors is inferior to the student with a full schedule of honors and Aps with a 3.8 GPA. That being said, you have taken many AP's so I think your course rigor is fine.

Overall- You are definitly a competitive applicant, along with most of the applicants. Make yourself stand out in the personal statement, and you just may receive that large envelope that so many, including myself, want so desperately.

Good Luck

If you are applying next year, check out the Domers of 12' thread.
