Please chance, scared for only 4 classes senior year

I’m extremely scared about my weak senior year course load. Will my weaker course load hurt my chances at UC’s and and other top colleges, or can my grades and EC’s make up for it? I will be applying for a Computer Engineering major.

Once again, I’m really scared about my senior year course load. How will taking only 4 classes affect my chances? If it’s going to hurt me a lot, I’ll take Data Structures or some other advanced programming course at a CC.

Wow- you’re really impressive. I would guess that you’re in to all the places you mentioned, except for Stanford and MIT where you’ve definitely got a chance.

I don’t think that’s a weak course load- but if you have time to take another course or something, why not? It could only help. I would recommend taking Multivariable Calc or something at a UC extension, if you live near one. If not, take it at a community college.

Thanks, I’ll consider that!

Anyone else have any input?

I agree with the previous poster. You are qualified for all the schools, that being said MiT and Stanford are beyond competitive. Your EC’s are unique, I could see you getting into MiT despite the difficulty of being admitted there…

Thanks! As of now, Stanford is my top choice, so we’ll see how that goes! I just hope taking only 4 classes senior year won’t hurt me too badly.

Does your school have AP Bio or AP Chem? I would definitely add another science class to your senior schedule ( since you have room). Top schools want to see that you challenged yourself in HS, 4 classes shows you are taking the easy way out.

Our school usually doesn’t let people double up on a subject like that, but I’ll look into it.

Anyone else have any feedback? bump bump!

And bump again!

Last bump! Any other thoughts?

jk one last bump LOL
