Twin two looks as a stronger candidate than Twin 1, do you think they will reject twin 1 and admit twin 2/ accept both as a package? I am really interested in knowing Yale’s Twin admit history. Thanks for any feedback.

There were a couple of sets of twins at Yale when I was there and based on another recent twin post, it sounds like there are usually 2-3 twins at any given time at Yale. I don’t think anyone here can tell you if they are more likely to do a package deal or just accept the stronger person.

I would leave out info like 7 walks for various causes. I’d also be wary of putting down awards just inside your school–like if the special recognition and merit awards are only from your high school. It’s better to list the big stuff and not weigh an app down with minutiae, that is, if you have big stuff to include.

I’ll leave the actual chances portion to others.

I’ve heard the admissions office is loath to deny one twin while accepting the other, especially if the accepted one has a lower GPA. So actually, while twin #2 might be a stronger candidate, it’s very possible that both would get in.

In terms of general chances, both sets of scores could be a little higher. right now, I would guess “reach”.

Also: it would be more helpful to list everything separately so that people could evaluate each twin instead of hunting through the list for each twin’s accomplishments/resume.

I couldn’t agree more with the above poster. If you really want people to chance you, you need to make the chance thread easier to follow by separating the twins…

There are at least 3 sets of twins in the class of '11, so there are probably several more currently in the college.
