<p>i’m a junior in highschool and i’ve started the college search. my number 1 is george washington but i would like my chances for

<p>unweighted gpa: 3.8
weighted: either a 4.1 or 4.2
public school
my school refuses to tell class rank
taken the hardest classes at my school, never taken an academic
3 aps junior year: english, american history, and stat
most likely taking ap calc, english, euro, bio, and psych senior year
i’ve gotten b’s in math and most likely will get one in physics, not my strong points but they were honors classes.
danced since i was 5
horse back riding since 5th grade, was on a team, a few achievements locally
nhs junior and senior year
secretary of key club
going to a 2 week volunteer program in south africa this summer
also did a mahatma project sophomore year raising money for schools in afghanistan and pakistan</p>

<p>oh and i haven’t taken the sats yet, i got an 1830 on the psat i know that score needs to raise at least 100 points</p>

<p>The only reason most schools are reaches is because of your SAT score. If you can get over a 1900 I say you have a great/excellent/solid chances at these schools that you have listed. How are your application essays/recs?</p>

<p>I only know about a couple of the schools, but it seems like you are pretty well off. For George Washington University and Boston University, your GPA is higher than their average. I have what their website lists 50th percentile stats, and I have a 3.6 GPA, 1900 Sat. George Washington University values GPA a lot, compared to other schools at least. It is listed right on their website. So while your SAT, assuming is an 1810 currently, wont hurt you - in fact its a pretty good score considering the schools you want to get into.</p>

<p>As far as University of Michigan, its tricky. Your GPA is on par with them, and your SAT definitely is a little low for them. But Ive seen them accept students with far worst stats, with no rhyme or reason.</p>

<p>My friend got into GWU with a 1700 SAT, and her GPA was the same as yours, so thats a good sign.:)</p>
