So I was reading through some posts in threads. I kept seeing this word hook. What does it mean to be a hooked student or to have a hook?

There is a search button at the top of the screen.

a hooked student is generally someone who has a trait of special interest for the college their applying to. Common hooks include being a recruited athlete, URM, legacy, first-generation college attendee, etc.

Please do not be rude to me again. I saw that you had originally wrote “Try it sometime”. I was just asking a question. However, I do appreciate the fact that you changed it. So thank you.
