I am wondering how to know if my SAT score is good enough, or if I should retake the test. I got an 1830 and I am pretty sure that I could do better if I reviewed. I know my score is aboe average, but is it good enough in general?

I’ve looked through numerous web sites, but they only tell the average score and the scores that places like Harvard accept.

Would someone just PLEASE straight out tell me if it’s good? THANK YOU!

Where are you applying in specific? What are your other stats?

Well, I am not exactly sure as to where I am applying…it probably depends a lot on where I think I may be able to get in. Ideally, I would like to go to Georgetown, Carlson school of Management at the University of Minnesota, University of Chicago, NYU, George Washington, and the list goes on. I am still pretty uncertain about where I want to go, but I am thinking possibly majoring in international business…

I have lettered in academics, I am consistently on the “A” honor roll, weighted GPA is about 4.3. My cumulative GPA (nonweighted) is about 3.8. I’m in the top 10% of my class.

I am in National Honor society and National Spanish Honor Society. I won some awards for spanish, started a couple of other clubs, was a leader at various camps, went on mission trips etc. I also teach conformation and tutor kids in a program.

Also, in addition to high school courses, I took 2 courses my junior year at the University of Minnesota per semester through PSEO. My GPA was 4.0 1st semester and 3.8 2nd semester.

So now, what are my chances? Thanks again.

Raise your SAT score to get into those colleges. 2000 would be a good number to shoot for, but thats still low for some of those schools.
