Please give me some criticism. I at the edge of the cliff.

<p>I want to go straight to college because I want the true 4 year college experience. Here is my GPA’s
Acad GPA (9-12) Weighted: 2.52 Non-Weighted: 2.36
Acad GPA (10-12) Weighted: 2.53 Non-Weighted: 2.27
Total GPA (9-12) Weighted 2.72 Non-Weighted: 2.59</p>

<p>Failed Classes
Freshman Year: Geometry 1st and 2nd Sem D’s
Sophmore Year: AP Euro 1st and 2nd Sem D’s, HP English 2 1st and 2nd Sem D’s, Algebra 2 1st Sem F.</p>

<p>Junior I am passing all my classes right now and I got a 3.33 for the 1st Sem. I plan on getting a 4.0 for the second semester. I did some GPA Calculator thing and it said if I get a 4.0 this semester and a 3.5 1st semester of Senior year I would have a weighted gpa of 3.0 for the whole year! I plan on making up some classes on BYU Online and in the summer. I’m going to make up English 2 on BYU online. And then I might take Geometry and History over the summer or do adult school or something. Algebra 2 I might do this program called Cyber high senior year or just retake the class. I think I can do this but I’m just a little confused.</p>

<p>I don’t have that much extracurricular activities though.
I played basketball freshman year.
Junior year I participated in a local food festival called Webster Jam
In the summer I plan on volunteering at the food bank.
Senior year I might play Track and Cross Country and get involved in some clubs.</p>

<p>I’m really trying to improve.
Oh yeah my class size is 265 and my class rank is 154 and 10-12 rank is 163.

AP Economics/ Government
English 4
Chemistry
Current Life (1 Semester)
Algebra 2 (If I make it up at cyber high then I’ll take a elective)
Intro to Video Game Design

<p>On this GPA calculator. It said I can get up to a 3.2 weighted GPA if I get all 4.0’s. And probably a unweighted GPA of 3.0. If I make up all my classes that will also raise my GPA right? Right now I just started my 1st semester of English 2 on BYU. I plan on finishing this within a month. I’m trying to be fast as possible</p>

<p>Your likeliest school will be the CSU closest to home. Most of them highly favor kids from their area.</p>

<p>Just keep letting your grades go up. Have you tried the SATs?</p>

<p>Schools out of state are hard to afford for most. unless your family can afford out of state tuition, those shouldn’t be on your list. CSUs are expensive enough today, many me have to start at CCs because of finances. No shame starting there and many end up graduating from a better college that way.</p>

<p>In reality, most CSUs and even UCs are largely commuter schools with many students working their way through. They don’t resemble Animal House or the many movies that suggest what a 4 year college experience looks like. That’s a myth most never get to live. </p>

<p>Do as well as you can. Start at the best school you can afford. D well and you can always transfer into one of those leafy green, perfect campuses.</p>

<p>Thanks for your reply :slight_smile: If I make up my D’s and get A’s for it that will increase my GPA or will it just eliminate the D and not increase my GPA?</p>
