please grade my essay the question: ' Do you agree that women should have equal rights as men?'

‘Should women have equal rights as men?’ Some might respond with a ‘Yes’ to this question, on the other hand some others might respond with an instant ‘No!’ However, I think from my very humble point of view that women should have equal rights as men. In this essay I will be expressing and demonstrating the thoughts and reasons behind my sincere point of view, whilst showing some compelling examples that support my thesis.
A great example would be a small ordinary family consisting of a father, a mother, and two children. In a classic family, the father is usually set to be responsible for the financial sector in the family. However, on the other side, the mother is set to be the one taking care of the children’s needs and wants constantly. Nevertheless, if we come to analyze this ordinary situation deeply and very closely, we come to understand, observe, and conclude the fact that both sides are extremely important. If we assume for instance that the mother does not do her part or doesn’t preform her duties, then who will be the one taking care of the children in the absence of their father? Who will be the one to teach them what is right and what is wrong? Who will be there when they are experiencing a hard period, facing emotional problems resulting in sadness and inner depression? Even though the mother plays a major and important role in taking good care of the mental and emotional sector in the family, the father’s role also seems inevitable to deny or ignore. If there was no father in the family, how would the family get its food, drink and shelter? How will each member in the family sleep every night, while having that sense of inner-peace and safety that tomorrow he or she is going to have his or her food, drink, and shelter?
Leading us to a point of immense importance, which is that both men and women should be treated equally and have equal rights, because their roles are equally vital not only in our families, but in our society as well. A family without a mother is like a child sleeping in the cold with no shelter, and a family without a father is like a house with no door…

I had the honor to express my thoughts and ideas explicitly and vividly. If men and women have equal rights, we are destined to having the privilege and pleasure of feeling the extravagance of balance, peace, and equality in our society….

This essay gives no reasons or examples for why u state there should be equal rights. It just explains a division of labor.

Plus it indulges in superfluous verbiage like :
…from my very humble point of view
…behind my sincere point of view
…I had the honor to express my thoughts and ideas explicitly and vividly
…having the privilege and pleasure of feeling the extravagance of balance, peace, and equality in our society….

Ask fewer questions. Make statements instead.
Use real examples; don’t make the entire argument hinge on hypotheticals.

talk more as if your info is “fact”, not a vague opinion the sat reader will moderately agree with.
If your facts are strong and unable to be proven wrong, you ll get a higher score. Overall, write real life examples. I save hypothetical examples for last if I really cannot think of examples.
I would write about women’s increased role in WWi (or WWII), eleanor roosevelt and if i have time, the introduction of Jen welter to the NFL as a referee. I got these examples off the top of my head. You should too, to save as much time actually writing the essay. Hope this helps.

… what… equal rights don’t even enter the essay. It was all about antiquated gender roles.

Where is this question even from? This would NOT be on the SAT. As Justin Trudeau said this week, “Because it’s 2015.”
