Please help critique short answer

Volunteering for 7 hours in unbearable heat, building houses for Habitat for Humanity sounds far from an ideal summer day, yet the intangible benefits make it more than rewarding. To start, I’ve been able to learn how to perform numerous household duties including fixing sinks and applying drywall, which will definitely be applicable when I’m older. I was also able to develop teamwork and leadership skills as many of the activities required a partner and lots of motivation. And possibly the most rewarding part of volunteering for Habitat for Humanity was the abundance of comments of appreciation from those who passed by, which helped highlight the value of helping others out especially in a community. Those “Thank-You’s” were the reason I would go home every day I volunteered with a feelings of accomplishment and satisfaction, which is why building houses in the inner-city of Omaha was truly one of the most rewarding experiences in my life.

Hi!

What I would suggest is that you arrange your reasons in hierarchical order, from the lightest to the strongest reasons, or the other way around. Next is that you should contemplate more on what you want to really voice out. I know you can still bring focus and density to this short answer; and I know that from your experience, there is more to it, than those appreciation that got you the most. And some more proofreading.
