Please help.. i am very confused.. I am trying to decide between NYU and Columbia..

<p>Hello everyone, I am soo glad I finally found this forum.</p>

<p>I have been really confused about where to go.. so when i got accepted to both I have sent in the tution deposit for both schools.</p>

<p>One is NYU Steinhardt, to study Media & Communication.</p>

<p>And the other is Columbia School of General studies..</p>

<p>Could you please tell me which should be the better choice? And WHY?</p>

<p>You know, you're not supposed to make deposits at two different schools. I'd go with Columbia though, although I don't know much about their School of General Studies. Columbia College is still my dream school. :)</p>

<p>Mon, for NYU, i like the program.. I besically like media..
for Columbia, its like WOAA.. COLUMBIA.. IVY LEAGE..so very prestigious...but program wise i am very clueless, although I might do Comparative Lit & society.</p>

<p>Rchhay, yes, Columbia is a dream school for a lot of people.. :) me as well.. nyu comes second as my dream school.
PS: omg so since i deposited money for both schools.. am i gona be in trouble?</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure that if they found out both of those schools would rescind their offers, as that's what happened to someone else I know.</p>

<p>OK.. so what can i do now? can I decline NYU now? and tell Columbia I did it becauseI got accepted in NYU about a month before columbia?</p>

<p>Just decline NYU right now, and continue with preparations to go to Columbia. I don't think you need to tell anyone anything, but declining NYU as quickly as possible is ethical and may open up a spot for someone on a wait list.</p>

<p>Its done.. I am officially a student at Columbia :)</p>

<p>now the hardest part....</p>

<p>I need to pick a major.. so I am trying to make a decision between, Comparative Literature, Psychology, Architect, Environmental Science, Film Studies, History, Political Science.</p>
