Please help me, I'm at a loss for what to do.

Okay, so I’m planning on applying to Stanford, but I have an oppurtunity to change my high school schedule for my spring semester. This is what my schedule looks like right now:

Fall:
AP English Literature
Chemistry II Honors
Calculus and Analytic Geometry III (Taking at a nearby university)

Spring:
AP Statistics
AP Chemistry
AP European History
AP Government and Politics

I could possibly change the spring semester to this:

AP Statistics
AP Chemistry
Mathematical Reasoning (Would take at the same university)

I may or may not still be able to take AP Gov due to scheduling problems.

I’m considering this because I really like math, but I figured out this new schedule would drop my potential final GPA (5.00 versus a 4.93) and I get the feeling that adcoms might think I’m not expanding my horizons enough by taking mostly maths/sciences. What do you guys think I should do?

you already have statistics both terms. Take AP Govt and AP Hist in spring term to show your well-roundedness.

dont freak out about your GPA, just take whatever you want to take, nobody will care either way…

Yeah colleges care about unweighted GPA, not weighted so don’t worry about it. Take a hard, but diversified course load that you can not only handle, but have fun with while enriching your mind.

Something to keep in mind is that you don’t have to be well-rounded, unlike what the above posts suggest. if you really like math and are good at it then taking lots of math is fine.
