please Help me in this writing question

The federal fish and willife service is expecred to rule this week on whether to protect beluga sturgeon under the Endangered species Act.

In the subject-verb agreement why is rigt here?

Because two nouns are related to the one word.

The Federal Fish and Wildlife Service is expected to rule this week on whether to protect beluga sturgeon under the Endangered Species Act.

Maybe you have confused it by doing this:

The [Federal Fish] and [Wildlife Service] is expected to rule this week…

However, for one thing, there is no such thing as a Federal Fish, and for another, Federal Fish cannot rule on an act. Therefore it is most logical to see the sentence as saying:

The [Federal] [Fish and Wildlife] Service is expected to rule this week…

So

The Service is expected to rule this week…

And the above simplified sentence works perfectly. And this sentence does not violate the subject-verb agreement.

i didnt get what u mean

Well I don’t even get your question, TBH. I assumed that you asked something about a possible subject-verb agreement violation made by “federal fish and wildlife service”, and the noun “federal fish and wildlife service” is a singular noun. Therefore there is nothing wrong about “is” following the “federal fish and wildlife service”.
