<p>You may want to consider cost / financial aid / scholarship constraints and your intended or possible majors.</p>
<p>As far as “liberal” (politically) schools, you may want to look at the politically conservative collegeguide.org listings. What they call “train wreck” schools or “red light” schools are likely to be kind of schools you are looking for.</p>
