I know this is so last minute but please help…
NYU
Pros:
proximity to relatives - convenient for breaks
good public transportation
private bathrooms
good business school
good career center
easy study abroad
14 dining halls - okay food
Cons:
EXPENSIVE HOUSING
social isolation
more dangerous
no campus
maybe TOO many people
competitive clubs
Georgetown
Pros:
pretty campus
good business school
cheaper off campus housing
metro/bus system
Cons:
dorm lottery - no private bathrooms
less diverse + small school
religious
only 1 dining hall apparently
competitive clubs
both are abt the same price (stern more expensive). I’m not entirely sure what kind of business I want to go into. Maybeeee consulting.
feel free to add more pros or cons if you have any.
Business is one profession where prestige matters. Stern is a top 5 program, so for a similar costs…unless you really dislike the open urban campus.

I think both are great schools - and I’d go where comfortable.
It’s easy to say I want consulting but it’s not a career path that’ I’d bet on - because it’s unlikely - and it comes in many facets.
I agree Stern if you were seeking finance - but if you’re not sure of the major, I wouldn’t simply say “Stern because it’s more prestigious.”
Where did you feel most comfort?
I think your pro of good campus isn’t fair to Gtown which also will.
Perhaps the question is - do you want to be at a school which you describe as having no campus?
Or do you want to be at a school that you describe as religious and has no private bathrooms?
Most schools have easy study abroad - so I wouldn’t factor that in.
What’s important to you - is what matters?
Not other pros or cons that others have.
Good luck.

Yeah from what ive heard from stern alums is thhey really regret going there cause they have basically no social life throughout their college experience so it can be really depressing. ion know i would def prefer georgetown msb over stern ANYDAY
NYU is more dangerous ???
Because the above is inaccurate to the best of my knowledge, I think that you prefer NYU–which is fine.
The real question is: Do you want to attend school in NYC ?

In terms of prestige, both are great.
The Wharton School reclaims its top spot in our annual ranking of 91 business schools, knocking USC Marshall to No. 2.
Est. reading time: 27 minutes
A few notes about Georgetown:
The MSB alumni network (and consulting/finance network regardless of undergrad school) is excellent.
The “religious” element is not something you need to engage with unless you want to. The Jesuit ethos absolutely permeates the school, but it’s about contributing to the common good, not religious doctrine.
The distinct campus in an urban setting is really appealing.
Good luck with your decision!
