I got rejected by my top choices (MIT, UC Berkeley, and Bowdoin). But, I’m still interested in attending them in the future.
I realize that I am not a good fit now, but I would like to hear suggestions on what I can do to help that.
What I am planning on doing:
- Attend the speed school at UofL
- Take as close of a schedule as possible as students at MIT, UC Berkeley, etc
- Join the Engineering LGBT+ club at UofL, and gaining some type of leadership position
- Create a non-profit that focuses on STEM education to LGBT individuals in the Louisville area.
- Create some type of project that is related to my major (Engineering undecided, with minor in CS)
What else do you think would help out?
