I am working on my graduate program application and writing my personal statement. I appreciate if someone can proofread my personal statement and let me know what you think!

Through my experience as a patient and a volunteer at a physical therapy clinic as well as an athlete, I found the true passion to pursue my career as a physiotherapist, and I would love the opportunity to join the Master of Physiotherapy program at [ ] University to gain knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes that will be vital for the qualification as a physiotherapist.
Although I did not suffer from any serious injuries in the past 15 years participating in various kinds of competitive sports and martial arts, I have witnessed numerous severe injuries of my teammates and partners. I learned that post-injury care is important for their performance, and I believe physiotherapy could have an impact on athletes’ post-injury care.
Growing up being an athlete I became interested in human anatomy and physical wellness, and I have always wanted to work in the healthcare field for my career. However, I did not have a clear career path until junior year of undergraduate schooling. During that summer, I was hit by a car and the accident resulted in a fractured clavicle. After the accident, I underwent physical therapy treatments and rehabilitation for 6 months. During the treatments and rehabilitation as well as my interaction with the physical therapists, I was inspired by their professionalism and dedication to improve patients’ quality of life. Also, this accident made me realize how fragile people can be, and physical wellness is truly an important aspect of life.
After I had recovered, I decided to volunteer at an outpatient clinic to further explore this occupation. In the 2 months volunteering at the clinic, I saw how physical therapists built rapport and gained trust from the patients to guide them through recovery and reach their full potential. Even as a volunteer, I felt the satisfaction seeing patients with their improving condition. This satisfaction is the major reason why I have chosen to study physiotherapy.
I hope this personal statement supports my application and demonstrates that I am a compassionate, discipline and dedicated student who is eager to study the Master of Physiotherapy at [ ] University.
I tweaked a few things – take them if you like or not. With these changes, I’m not sure if it satisfies your word count.

Avoid posting any kind of essays directly on the site. I don’t know if grad schools check for plagiarism like undergraduate colleges do, but there’s a chance that either someone else could use information from your essay, or admissions officers might think that you plagiarized your own essay.
