We are moving in four (!) weeks. I have hired a designer to help with our downstairs, but dh and I are going to handle this upstairs space on our own.
I’ll attach pics (taken awhile back in the construction process) at the end. We were told that the lowest point of the sloped ceiling would be 7’. Well, that didn’t work out. Apparently some piddly issue about the roof being supported. Pfttttt. Slope shown in pics below - the drawing indicating the slope is inaccurate. The room itself is 14’10” by 17’ (on the longest wall). The hallway leading into it is about 9’ x 11’. You’ll notice it’s offset by about a foot so one side is longer than the other. The window on the 14’10” wall is exactly 9’ wide.
Wants:
-
Modular sectional (since this space is upstairs anything up there needs to be modular)
-
Small 4-person table & chairs for game-playing
-
Big TV (ours is 57” wide and 32” tall) - issue is where to place it
-
At least a mini-fridge for beverages. We don’t want to do any elaborate bar/built-ins at this time, though that’s an option for the future. There will never be an option for a, “wet” bar.
