<p>Topic: the Internet has revolutionized the modern world but it has also created new problems and inequalities. Do you agree?</p>
<p>Essay 1/</p>
<p>The Internet has changed our world so rapidly that there are many people arguing about the inequalities and new problems that have been created. In my opinion, that the Internet has helped make life easier and more convenient than ever has far outweighed some mere disadvantages it caused. The three specific fields which should be mentioned are business, governments’ actions and community services.</p>
<p>Many producers use the Internet as a way to market new products, new services through some famous websites such as Yahoo! or MSN, and even in small forums, blogs. A dialogue box suddenly popping up to the monitor’s screen or a flashing banner or a colorful slogan will easily catch the users’ attention and help entrepreneurs attract a significant number of customers. Some talent companies take advantages of the Internet to gain public relation for their singers, actors or models, like the way the producer of Idol contest has done to launch voting campaigns for the contestants in the cyber community. The Internet has proved itself to be a helpful assistant that help the expanding and marketing of a company easier, faster and even cheaper.</p>
<p>Governments, altogether with businessmen, gain a lot of advantages from the Internet. Exchanging information between local areas or between countries nowadays takes less time and money that in old ages. An earthquake or a volcano eruption can easily be warned and territories suffering from such disasters will receive help from all over the world. Governors also create security networks to control their citizens’ profiles, the birthrate or even the traffic problems. The impact of the Internet on Governments’ actions is so significant that without it, Governors will find themselves in unsolvable difficulties.</p>
<p>Though business and governments are eminent, the general community, to whom the Internet brings innumerable advantages is worth mentioning than any others. To many students, knowledge that they can gather from the Internet is far more than in schools. No longer do they have to spend hours in the library to gather information for a new assignment because today, even a seven-year-old kid can tell exactly the birthday of Vladimir Putin or name some plays by Shakespeare with just a few minutes for net surfing. With the help of voice chat, email, online newspapers, people can conquer all distances to keep in touch with each other and also live up-to-date with the world. Hence, the fact that the Internet has revolutionized our world and brought top convenience to human beings is apparently true.</p>
<p>More time and money have been saved since the invention of the Internet. Human beings
can spend more time for family and recreational activities. Though there is a controversy about the disadvantages of it, large percentages of population fine themselves satisfactory among the best conditions the Internet has provided.</p>
<p>Essay 2/</p>
<p>That the Internet has revolutionized human beings lifestyles through providing top convenient means of communication and a diverse source of information is undeniable. It also created negative impacts and inequalities concerning with Governors, students, children, etc., though. Wealth, success, comfort, as well as dirt, fertilizer, diseases, generated from the Internet has been controversial for a long time because there are several reasons to support both sides.</p>
<p>Firstly, the Internet makes communication easier, cheaper and faster, compared to the last decade. Entrepreneurs use MSN, Yahoo! or create
their own websites for advertising, marketing new products, new services to gather a score of customers. Meanwhile, general users, such as housewives, workers, find themselves at ease because online shopping, as well as exchanging information via email, chat, taking less time, enables themselves to have more time for recreational activities and physical exercises. Overseas students can either hand in their assignments on time or keep in touch with families and feel less homesick, also with the help of the Internet. </p>
<p>In addition, it contains a diverse source of information from which professionals or non professionals can seek. Readers of online newspapers said that they could stay up-to-date with the world because online version is always updated faster than the printed version. For instance, I could read about the massacre at Virginia university in the US on the CNN website one day earlier before the local newspapers were published. Also thanks to the Internet, many students no longer have to spend hours in library gathering materials for assignments since now, even a seven-year-old kid can easily search on Google and tell exactly the autobiography of Rutherford or Vladimir Putin.</p>
<p>Contrast to the benefits, the Internet also created new problems and inequalities. While searching for materials, students often encounter dirt and fertilizer, which means incorrect information, spam messages and pornography, and have to spend more time classifying. The Governors also find it hard to control the flow of information, by which terrorists use to spread worldwide tension. Furthermore, there still exist areas where the poor cant buy computers, not to mention access to the Internet. Net addiction, often found in teenagers, also causes some diseases, such as insomnia, obesity, short sight.</p>
<p>Considering two aspects of the matter concerning with the Internet, I think there are convincing and reasonable excuses to support both sides. The internet plays an important role in almost everyones life for the comfort and convenience it brought. However, still there are some unaltered problems and equalities.</p>
<p>In conclusion, I myself enjoy the benefits brought by the Internet, but beware of the disadvantages as well. Therefore, I highly recommend that everyone learn to use it wisely as well as avoid the negative impacts by exchanging experiences with friends, counselors or professional users.</p>
