(thinking about dropping an ap science class senior year…so 3 years science, 3 years foreign language, 4 years math…)

Regretfully, I haven’t been very active in the community, and I’ve slacked off a lot in academics…but I’d like to know the best colleges I can get into with a profile like this, considering that this year is one of the hardest years for college admission because of the cutbacks. and also is USC is a good possibility? (sibling goes there)

home state is california, hopefully financial aid (calgrant) will be as generous as it was to my sibling, so anything in the usc range and below

Oh and also, in addition to USC, how are my chances with Carnegie Mellon, University of Virginia, Boston College, Notre Dame, and Georgetown? I know these are far reaches, but do I have a chance with any? Other reachable college suggestions based on senior profile (above) needed please!

^ Huh? At CMU 75% are in the top 10% of their HS, and all the rest of OP’s stats fall right on the 50 %ile (GPA and scores). CMU is a pretty solid match.

USC should be pretty good chance (scores and rigor are most important and your scores are high for them). UVA is a little bit of a reach.

■■■■■? I didn’t use my real birthday because I don’t trust the internet these days, but my questions are authentic seeing as I’m currently a high school senior. I’m just asking for advice from people who seem to know what they are talking about, not looking to establish myself on the website or anything…
