Open to school suggestions in the Middle Atlantic states–many now seem like reaches. Wants: sense of community, suburban/urban setting. Have a few local safeties not listed.

Thank you for any help/ideas!

Woops, forgot to add AP Calc, AP English. All classes were honors where possible.

For the community, I would definitely suggest Bryn Mawr and Barnard, less on NYU because of the fact that all of the campuses are completely separated. IMO, you will be accepted into the majority of your schools, with NYU being a bit iffy. C

pokedoh! Thanks so much for your input!

Decided against Fordham/Skidmore/NYU and put a few more safeties in the mix. Am waiting to hear on the rest but it’s a nerve-wracking experience so you definitely cheered me up! I hope you’re right

Stevens: accept
Skidmore: accept
Barnard: waitlist/accept
Bryn Mawr: waitlist/accept

These are just my thoughts, but I think you should definitely be confident! You have strong stats and your school choices are great. Good luck! I’d also appreciate it if you could take a look at my chance me.

Thanks cc8912!

@ladygriff How/when did you hear from Stevens? Did you do ED or RD? My S hasn’t heard anything from them yet.

@ladygriff good luck with all these schools! If you end up at Bryn Mawr, I look forward to seeing you around! It’s a wonderful community and the computer science department is excellent. Very supportive professors and a lot of camaraderie among students. If you have any questions about it, feel free to let me know.

@ladygriff I think your GPA and ecs are very good. Your SAT is a little low for schools like NYU and Barnard, but you have a great hook.

Stevens: accept
NYU (Courant/Tandon) :waitlist/accept
Skidmore: accept
Fordham: waitlist/accept
Barnard: waitlist/reject
Bryn Mawr: waitlist/accept

Best of luck!!
