Hi, I’ve already applied to UM, UF, FSU, UCF, and FIU.

My stats: 3.0 GPA(out of 4.0)
APs: 5 senior year, 3 junior year
SAT: 720 Math, 680 Reading, 710 Writing (1400/1600 - 2110/2400)
Extracurriculars: Lacrosse Team, band for freshman and sophmore year, 83 hours community service.
Very good essay generally.

So these are the schools i’ve already sent my transcripts into. Which of these should I apply to? I have no idea what i’m looking for in a college!!! I guess a perfect school would be like 6000-22000 undergrads? I’m so sorry I have no idea! So what would you suggest to apply to out of these:

George Washington University
Vanderbilt
Umich
USC
Boston University
Washington University
Emory
University of Virginia

Please answer, no matter what you have to say! Thank you so very much!

You need some safeties.

do you live in miami by any chance

Your test scores are solid, but your grades will hurt you at those reaches. Wash U is too tough with a 3.0. I have a feeling your GPA will knock you out of Vanderbilt, Virginia and Michigan, too. Sorry, I don’t know as much about the others, but I think you need to consider schools that are somewhat less stringent - look beyond state schools that often have an “automatic” GPA requirement.

I’m not sure what those colleges require, however, I do know that UF recalculates your whole GPA if you take honors, ib, or ap courses. f you have taken lots of ap courses and have done well in them, your UF GPA will probably be higher than your HS GPA.

I think you should go to collegeboard.com and do a search with Lacrosse Team Div III and see what comes up with your test scores and academic interests
