Ever since the age of 7 i’ve always know that I either want to be a re constructive plastic surgeon or lawyer. The colleges I have wanted to go to are insanely short, I guess I have biases, but then again I am very open to hear what you all have to say which for which colleges would suit me. I want to start off at community college locally in order to boost my GPA (in hopes of raising it & then switching to a more “known/prestigious” college)

Basic Stats (completion of sophomore year as of last week):
Female, Causasian, 1st gen., single parent home, 3.2 or 3.4 (i just transferred schools from an AP to an IB district, and different grading systems) GPA UW, ranked: ?
SAT: n/a
AP: I did take AP bio & AP human geography previous to moving- but wasnt able to AP test on each ![]()
Other: Model UN (freshman year- distinguished delegate), varsity soccer, varsity track, Honor Society, Student Government, IB program, volunteering (Children’s Hospital & DES), numerous awards

Majors of Interest: English, Chemistry, Government, Criminal justice, Law, Medical, Theology, Psychology

Criteria:
Small to large size (not really a major factor for me)
Diverse, open-minded student body
Campus w/ wide range of activities (on & off)
Intern, and research opportunities
Strong academics all-around
Sports strong also

Safeties: University of Arizona, ASU, NAU, MCC (Mesa Community College)

Matches?/Reaches?:
? Need help on both of this

Finally, I know I can boost my GPA but I’m not so sure if I can if I’m involved in rigorous IB classes- should I drop down to honors (take easy road) or do colleges consider you GPA along with IB program involvement? I know I should take the SATs ASAP to get a general idea of what my standing is, therefore I am registering for one in September. After taking SAT once, should I take the SAT again? I was also planning on testing SAT II for Chemistry and English.

I’d appreciate any help from you all.
Thanks in Advance

Thanks!
