I am applying to a school which requires either the SAT or the ACT plus two subject tests. The problem is, I did poorly on the SAT and only took it once and then decided that I was going to take the ACT (I did much much better on the ACT’s). Can I specify that I want them to look at my ACT’s and just the SAT subject tests, not the SAT I?

Depending on which schools you’re applying to, some have a place on their application to write whatever that is “extra” you want to tell them.
But either way, they will still see your SAT I scores.

They will use the scores that help you the most.

or so they say they will use the score that helps you the most. they will use the best scores but i think it is kinda hard to completely ignore a bad score. but if your ACT is really good i wouldnt worry…it is a proven fact that some people do better on the ACT and others on the SAT.

I just found out that before the admission committee sees my scores they will knock off the lows and I can specify which scores I want them to look at on my common app.
