Please help!! Wrong applytexas essay topic!

I was entering my essays to my UT application when I realized I had entered my essay over topic B in the space for topic A. I hadn’t submitted it yet so I figured I could just change it. While I was able to backspace the essay, applytexas wont let me entirely unselect essay A. My application reads that I completed essays A B & C when I only did B and C!
I called my school’s college counselor and she didnt know what I should do either. Her best guess was to state in the space for essay A that I accidentally selected the wrong essay…
I’ve written “This is not an essay.
I accidentally opened topic A instead of B when I entered my essay. I realized
this immediately and tried to fix it however I am not able to delete essays.”

What should I do!!! Is this a common problem! I’m submitting my app ASAP. How best do I proceed!? I dont have time to delete the application and fill it out again.

Have the same problem. Does anybody know how to delete essay?

Call UT admissions and ask them how you should proceed from this point. Apply Texas allows you to submit each essay up to two times. You may just need to replace it by selecting the prompt again and pasting the correct essay into the field. They should use the last essay as it is obviously a replacement to the first by applicants.

From the Apply Tx Website:
At the time you submit your application, you will have the choice to SUBMIT all saved essays with your application, or to submit each essay individually later via the My Essays tab.
You will be able to view and edit your essays once they’ve been submitted. You can submit each essay up to two times. You will also be able to view a list of how many and which types of essays (e.g., Essay A; 2 custom essays) you have submitted. You may wish to keep a record of the essays you have submitted.

Be sure to review each essay before submitting it. A maximum of 120 lines per essay will be sent. If your essay looks incomplete on the “Review Essay” page, edit it before submitting.

Be sure to write it in Mono-space as this is the format it will change to once you input it. Some characters may not translate so be sure to review it.
