Please help

So I am getting ready to register for classes for my freshman year. Now do medical schools want us to challenge ourselves and take a lot of classes or do they just want us to take whats required and maybe a few GPA booster classes? I did pretty bad on my math placement exam so I have a low class for that and as for the rest I have openings. So should I take a lot of classes or just a few? I am confident I can handle the workload

Ideally, med schools want both: challenging classes AND a good GPA

But it that’s not possible, maintaining a good (3.6+) GPA is more important.

Some great advice here:
