PLEASE HELP!!

I’m thinking a of applying to ECU but my mom says she “doesn’t want me living my life in debt because of college loans” so she wants me to stay local. my mom gets paid 1,415 biweekly and has six kids, how much do you think I would get from financial aid and are there other ways besides scholarships and loans to help me pay for college?

Go to the financial aid web page for ECU and find the net price calculator. Input accurate information and see what the results are. That’s the best way to get an estimate of how much you may be expected to contribute. You can post the results here if you need help interpreting the results.

Listen to your mom’s concerns about debt. You can only borrow $5500, $6500, $7500, $7500 on your own each of the 4 years. Depending on your intended major, how you perform in school and how likely you are to find a good paying job after college that may or may not be too much debt.

ECU = East Carolina University?

Also, you need your mom’s pay before taxes for any financial aid calculation.

The NPC was a little hard to find for ECU. Click on the button in the lower right:
