please help

i want to go the New College but they dont give out grades. how will that look to med school adcom

It will look like an easy day at the office. New College = No Grades = hand me the next app will ya?

Mcat score- 39
6 independent research = “hold on a second”

Odds that you will get a 39 and have 6 indep. research experiences arent very high. Possible, but not probable. Unless you got a 1600 on your SATs and ace every standardized test you take. And that many indep. res. exp. is pretty difficult, since doing research isnt a one day thing. It can take years.

the school requires 6 reasearch project, and the senior thesis project that u must defend in front of a commity to graduate.

eh…that sounds pretty good

not having grades to show a med school means you need another way to prove your excellence (thru extensive research or an eyeopening mcat score)

if you have both, you’ll probably be fine

i think a 1600 SAT score is looked higher upon than a 39 mcat score lol

Not really because a 39 is a very good score. Any score in the range of 39-42 is 1600 range worthy. Its not like people get 45’s.

who care about sat scores in med school admissions?

Are you talking about New College in Florida?

They have a very high acceptance rate for Med school.

I think that as a first step you should ask people in the Admissions and/or Placement Office about acceptances to Med School. These people no doubt have been working with Med Schools for years.

my pediatricians daughter supposedly scored a 44 which is pretty close…she went to ECU and had a 1480 SAT score…and shes a study freak…i think the harder you study correlates higher to how high your score would be on the MCAT while this wouldn’t neccesarily be true on the SATs but i dunno lol
