<p>EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITES</p>
<p>S.A.D.D. (9, 10, 11 & 12) - attended meetings weekly and participated in fundraisers and consciousness raising activities regarding the dangers of drugs and alcohol abuse.</p>
<p>Key Club (9, 10, 11 & 12) - Member of community service club. Participated in can drives, breast cancer walk at Jones Beach, Christmas Day at a local Nursing Home and telethons to help raise money.</p>
<p>Peer Drug Educator and leader of drug awareness (9, 10, 11 & 12) - Program to help educate fellow students as well as younger children about dangers of drugs and drinking.</p>
<p>Guidepost School Newspaper (9, 10, 11 & 12) - Contributing writer and photography editor of the newspaper, writing articles regarding school issues and controversial topics.</p>
<p>Peer leadership (11& 12) - Mentor to underclassmen, in a program designed to educate them about different issues that occur in high school.</p>

<p>Awarded Second Place in 2006 Research Seminar Freshmen World Cup for project on The Mozart Effect.
Received Honorable Mention in 2007 Invitational Rohm and Haas Science Fair and 2007 5th Annual Molloy College Science Fair for project on The Effect of Agrobacterium Tumefaciens on the Height of Tomato Plants.
Received Certificate from the Mathematical Association of America for participating in American Mathematics Contest in 2004
Awarded for Outstanding Achievement in Hebrew Language grades 9 and 10
Recipient of Certificate of Commendation from the Board of Education for contributing to the quality of life in 9th grade.
Received Certificate of Honorable Merit- Maxima Cum Laude for Outstanding Performance in the National Latin Exam grades 8, 9, 10, 11 & 12.
Participated in NYSSMA grades 9, 10, 11 & 12 for both classical piano and vocal singing.
Received AP Scholar Award in recognition of exemplary college-level achievement on Advanced Placement Program Examinations in 11th grade.</p>
