I have a flawless academic record at my high school.

GPA: 3.93UW/4.4W
SAT so far: 2080 (600 M, 680 CR, 800 W)
–I just took the SAT for third time today.

SAT IIs: 740 U.S. History
730 Bio
650 Literature (not using, but will still show up)

My essay is really good, my recs are decent (both of them are probably just about being good academically).

EC’s in school:
–Varsity Cross Country - 3 yrs
–Co-Editor of Yearbook (but only involvement is 12th grade, my school has only seniors working on yearbook)
–I am a member of a club

EC’s outside of school:
–President of religious youth group board.

while your academics are impressive, i’m sure columbia sees a lot of great transcripts, and grades don’t necessarily win over admission officers’ emotions…seems like you’re pretty lacking in the EC department…

let’s say i bring up the SAT to 2200 (730 in CR and 650 Math)…then what do you think?

I’m just trying to get a feel for it…it seems like SAT and good grades are kind of nonfactors at some point, and after that point – am i done for?
