Did anybody call admissions to see if they were even sent out? Anybody want to…

Unfortunately when you Google “DHS application”, you get old versions coming up too. I think that one with the 26th is exactly that. If you go to Tulane undergraduate admissions page and click on “Scholarships & Aid” and then on the DHS link, you will see the current application which gives no date. The Tulane calendar said the 20th.

So sorry to be the bearer of bad news…But here is the word… According to the admissions office the letters are not going out until NEXT WEEK!!. The woman I spoke with said they will be sent by regular mail. She sounded pretty sure about the next week part, not quite as sure about the regular mail. Ugh. More waiting…
I guess someone else could call the verify.
This is very painful.

Truly! The waiting is horribly tense. Just need an answer and we go from there.

You’re right! I wonder where I saw Feb 26? Oh well, just need to know and then we can make some decisions!

I guess I can stop looking for the UPS man even though he doesn’t come by until late evening I have been looking for him all morning. Another long week ahead!

I’m pretty sure we’ll all have well and truly cracked in a week. Oh well. Hopefully they have some white padded dorms waiting for us…

Anyone have some inventive ideas to pass the (seemingly interminable) time? Maybe we could talk about what we all did for our box projects; I know I was fascinated to hear about the 90 box one, and it’s not like anyone could steal someone else’s idea at this point. Just a thought. =)

I just called. The young woman I spoke with said the counselors will be calling this week and a mailing will be sent out. Next week by the latest. Ugh.

The counselors will be calling who? The applicants?

Also, there is a live chat scheduled tonight, so we should, hopefully, get a definite date.

Calling? Really… That’s new… hmmm

Wait, will finalists be called? What time is the chat tonight?

The chat is at 6:00 p.m. Central Time (7:00 p.m. Eastern Time).

Do any of you have a relationship with your admissions counselor? Maybe an email might get the date, method of delivery etc.? Just a thought.

Does anyone else have a problem with the chat? We can sign in and type our questions but no one can see them so all we can do is read what everyone else is asking. There is a different way to sign in if you are having trouble but that does the same thing so we are never able to chat. I have checked all our settings that the help menu suggested. We only have this problem with the Tulane chat. Was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I will be watching tonight because I am sure there will be plenty of questions about the DHS without me asking!

heltonmom- When my mother asked questions the last time, she thought they didn’t go through also. However, they showed up about 5 minutes after she submitted the questions.

Then maybe they are ignoring me…just kidding. I have never had a question answered or acknowledged. I have sent things like…hello, can anyone hear me, please let me know if you can read this and still never receive a reply. Maybe it was just something going on with my computer. Guess I will see tonight.

Also if admission counselors are going to be calling then I guess we can contact them if we don’t hear anything soon. If they are calling this week they should already have the information.

Gabby…I will contact my son’s counselor. It’s ok if she just thinks the mom is irritating.

If they call the students about the scholarship award, I’ll never know. My son so rarely checks his voice mail :)

My son never answers his phone or checks voice mail. They would have to text him.LOL
I knew we should put my number on everything.

A week? I might not make it. I think I’d rather not get it and find out today than find out I did get it next week. The waiting is killing me.
