<p>i am an international transfer student from Panama</p>

<p>i am <em>dying</em> to enter UChicago but other options are penn state, purdue, uiuc, u of miami, u of south florida & mcgill in canada</p>

<p>hs gpa: 3.2</p>

<p>ec: dancing only… ballet jazz tap & modern classes at least 7 hrs/week during 4 years of HS</p>

<p>college gpa: 3.57</p>

<p>ec: only dancing this year 4 hrs/week, 21 weeks</p>

<p>i am thinking of getting in some activity for community service plus another one like class president or aiesec??</p>

<p>i’m taking my sat’s in january</p>

<p>i am truly hoping my strong desire to enter this university (U of C) can reflect in my essays, for now i feel this is my only hope =(</p>

<p>the truth please?? if i have no chance at all it’s better to know now</p>

<p>Well, I admittedly do not know much about the University of Chicago. I go to Penn State. I know it is not the top of you list, but make sure you apply to Penn State University Park (it’s the main campus). You posted this in the general discussion area. I think you would have a better shot at getting people that know if you posted this type of thing in the forums dedicated to discussing each individual school. Best of luck.</p>
