<p>Any tips or advice would be appreciated especially for a incoming freshman that will not be signing up for a Learning Community</p>
<p>As far as I know there are no guaranteed ways to get on main campus or everyone would do them. My son who is in LLoyd Hall Scholars learning community is really glad he applied. He was invited to apply for Honors College, but didn’t want to do it. He then learned of the learning communities and was interested in writing. He applied, it guaranteed him a spot in the newly renovated Alice Lloyd Hall and he loves it!Maybe your son should reconsider a learning community.</p>
<p>The only ways for a freshman to get a guaranteed spot on Central Campus is to join a learning community or opt to live in all-female housing (if the student is female, of course). Otherwise, it’s all up to chance.</p>
