My desire to transfer to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign lies within its age-old tradition in research and public engagement. Currently my community college does not offer the opportunity to take on a curriculum that offers foundation and advanced courses that will allow me to progress in an upward and relevant direction. In the long run I would like to fill a particular capacity that will empower me in the field of general studies and potentially engineering. Through this avenue I can become part of a movement that can allow me to make history while leaving a positive impression on many others. This is all part of a quest for self-improvement, which started in high school. After an emotionally difficult junior year in high school, I had to reinvigorate my spirit to overcome the setbacks caused by a number of satisfactory grades. Since then I have focused on rebuilding myself through engaging myself in literature on academic, personal and professional development. As a result I was able to finish high school and continue my education at a community college. I have never felt this driven, but for once I have reached a level of maturity where my direction could be no clearer. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is my next destination as I pursue my future professional endeavors. Through my attendance I not only will really seize the opportunity for further learning, but I will use my own positive points to empower other students as well. It is through this endless cycle that I will continue to make progress in my own life while feeding the progression of the university as a whole.

Hey:)
I feel it’s a little vague. If you change the name to another college, it suits perfectly as well. Which means sth is wrong.
Maybe you could think along this line, how would UIUC be different to you from other schools? And how will your presence add to UIUC, why should they accept you and not others?
