I’m a senior. I’m ashamed to tell you that this close to the regular deadlines and I have not decided which schools to apply to nor which major I’ll choose (I’m leaning towards the science-related ones though). So I need your help. Please give me a few schools I have a good chance of getting into and will enjoy my four years there.

Southeast Asian. I go to a private school but I have a full scholarship for 6 years now.
Average: ranging from 93_95
Class rank: 1/28 or either 1 or 2 over 120+
I’m always in the top ten students list of the school.

My SAT sucks: CR 620, Maths 680, Writing 560
Just took the SAT Bio M and Chem
Will take IELTS soon, I got 8 band score on the mock test.
IGCSE: English, Bio, Chem: A* Math, Physics: A
Planning to take A levels, not sure if it would help much

ECs
School President - this year
School Vice President - last year
Class monitor - 4 years (since 9th grade)
Student council member- 2 years
Join 4 different clubs in four years.

Awards
Gold medal from GENIUS Olympaid, US on short movie on pollution
Numerous awards at school including Science Fairs, Math Puzzle contest, Mousetrap car race etc… Should I mention these on my application?

I think overall this is not a very impressive resume but what can I do? It’s too late to retake the SAT…

There is really nothing you can do at this point, but did you have any schools in mind? Even if they are unrealistic we can give suggestions based on them…

The need for financial aid makes the picture quite different. Here is a thread on this topic, and it has some links to other resources. I haven’t read the whole thread, but a lot of the schools on it are going to be big reaches for you given your SAT scores. So you will have to dig through to try to find some that provide decent aid to international students and are in your SAT range (or SAT optional).

You really need to get going on this. The deadlines for applications (including essays) and having your school materials and test scores in are not far away at all for a lot of these schools (less than 3 weeks for some of them).
