It’s that time of year again and I’m always looking for new recipes and ideas. Anyone care to share?

Pack coolers with bratwursts and beer. Proceed to parking lot at Lambeau Field.

OK, so despite my husband’s memories, there may be some problems with that plan.
So you could go an alternative route and order some landjaeger from Baumgartner’s Cheese Shop in Monroe.
It’s an addictive hard sausage, perfectly spiced. Oh, and you could order a few great cheeses to add to your tray.

Marinade boneless chicken breasts in italian dressing, grill until cooked, then put them in a bun and eat them like it’s your job.

My family loves this recipe for lunches, picnics, etc. Since you do not defrost the corn prior to mixing, it’s great for carrying to outdoor events.

[Black Bean and Corn Salad Recipe : Rachael Ray : Food Network](http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/black-bean-and-corn-salad-recipe/index.html)

It serves four, but could easily be doubled, etc., for a crowd. My only change, since my family loves onions, is to use 3/4 to a full onion rather than only a half onion.

We amazed our guests with molten chocolate mini-cakes off the BBQ last year.
We ordered them online frozen, just heated on the BBQ and served.
People were running over to see what we were up to when the smell started wafting around.

I just bought a Weber Q for tailgaiting. I can’t wait.

Make pizza on the grill. Super easy and very quick. Just youtube some videos for it. press the dough out before you leave the house and it will keep, you can stretch it some just before you cook it.

When it gets cold, we bring vegetarian barbeque and soup, but at the start of the season I bring lots of spreads and the ingredients for hoagies. A mix that was a huge hit last season was a combo of canned artichokes (drained), red onion (chopped), small jar of roasted red pepper (drained), lots of fresh basil, cherry tomatoes cut in half, balsamic vinegar. I put this in a tupperware container and when it was halftime we used this on hoagies with provolone cheese and bib or romaine lettuce. It was easy, it held up well, and went very quickly. If you want a little meat in your hoagie, I am thinking pepperoni might taste good.

Planning our first tailgating adventure for next Saturday. We will drive 3-1/2 hours Saturday morning in a car filled with supplies, grandparents and overnight bags so want to prepare something that we just reheat at the game. I have been thinking some sort of chili and sandwiches. We’ll have a gas grill for reheating. Any great ideas?

This dip has met with rave reviews at our tailgates, especially from the men. It helps to have a microwave, but it can be reheated on the grill. My mom used to keep it hot in a small crock pot, can also use a chafing dish…We use tortilla chips–blue and regular.

Pour 1 can of Hormel chili (we prefer the beanless chili) on top of a package of cream cheese, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar. Microwave for 1 minute or until cheese is melted.

Chili Dogs or even better yet if you can get half smokes where you live (half pork, half beef smoked sausages) you could do chili half smokes.

Carne Asada for tacos or burritos is quite popular here. Also popular bbq’d Tri-tip roast.

Last year we marinated shrimp a few times in a curry marinade and grilled. Yumm…
