Please suggest a gift

This would be a gift for my D’s private music teacher. He’s been like another parent, mentor, and a friend over the past 6 years. Helped her get into JHU/Peabody too. Want something different to show appreciation of all of us, not just from D. He told me once he feels like his own daughter will be going away to college! He’s a terrific guy.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Don’t know about your budget – but how about a weekend out of town? Hotel & dinner someplace nice? We did that for S’s music teacher and she loved it.

I got the idea for these compasses from another thread on CC. I’ve bought the compass/keychains for gifts a couple of times. They can be engraved. They are made in Scotland, but I’ve used this US store:

Tickets to an upcoming concert?

My H and I were having this discussion yesterday- what to do for D’s private music teacher of 6 yrs. We were thinking about an overnight at a nice B+B we stayed at last summer. Not too far, not ridiculously expensive and something a busy mom (would presumably take husband) of 3 little boys might enjoy (and need)!

If you go for the overnight, maybe consider Tanglewood if he’s never been. It’s not too bad a shot from New Jersey.
