<p>This is my initial list of colleges. After I have the whole list completed, I will do research on each college and narrow it down. Please tell me about any significant colleges that are not on my list. By the way, I don’t want to go anywhere that is big on religion. In case you need my stats, I am just a freshman so I don’t know how everything will play out, but according to my plan, I will predict what I think will happen.</p>
<p>Will always have the most rigorous courseload possible
SAT: I am going to study all summer long and hopefully make national merit on the PSAT, I predict 2200-2400 on the SAT
GPA: I can’t get a 4.0 because I have already made some below A’s, but it should be between 3.75 and 4.0
Rank: Even with the mistakes I’ve made, I am top 10%, if I work hard enough I might make top 5%
Extracurriculars: Going to join NHS, will do community service (possibly long-term hospital volunteer), will join Key Club, will join Physics club, will join an academic science competition club, am going to get into Varsity tennis or close to varsity by the time I graduate
I have already began studying the college admissions process in-depth, I am reading as many books on it as I can and I am going to read books on how to write the best essay</p>

<p>Dear god, you’re going to need to narrow this down a lot more before anyone here can really help you. It looks like you just took the top x number of colleges according to us news and copied it here. You should look at the colleges that fit you interests instead of just their national ranking. Also, it seems like a lot of your resume is based on predictions with little actual data, so maybe this discussion is a tad premature?</p>
<p>I am going to copy and paste the first few sentences of my initial post and ask that you read them. Also, I will add that I did not at any time use USNews as a reference in this. I went to college websites solely based on what colleges were in my memory and what I read about on CC. Here are the sentences which I think that you should read:</p>

<p>I’m a junior and I’ve gotten only a tad bit further than you have in your college search.</p>
<p>Chillax, dude. Enjoy your freshman and sophomore years. Do well in your classes, and get in involved with your school and your community. Don’t stress out about things that you don’t need to be stressing out about (namely, college). There’ll be plenty of time for that when you’re halfway through your junior year.</p>
<p>I agree with sciencefrenchie. There’s really nothing for you to at this point. Certainly keep your eyes open, but just focus on your grades and your interests for now. This is the time where you need to be building a good resume.</p>
