SAT scores are low 1900, But I hope my other things supplement. I have a strong essay about my mom’s death from a cancerous brain tumor in the sixth grade and how I have had to over come that. My other essay’s are strong, and my teacher and counselor reccomendations are perfect!

So please be honest what are my chances???

Sorry about the loss of your mom. I’m sure you honor her every day with wonderful memories.

I think it will be tough to overcome a 1900 SAT score in NU’s very competitive applicant pool. You should definitely apply anyway and see what happens. The hours you say you’ve logged for student council seems a little high. If you worked each of the last 4 years, including summers, you would be spending over 20 hours per week on this activity alone–does that sound right-- that’s almost 3 hours per day?

Thanks:)
Okay well there was six month period that I spent 5 hours after school every single day working on student council when I ran for state President. And I attend 2 summer workshops a week long each for the past 3 years, I have been a counselor for 2 workshops so thats a total of 8 workshops with about 60 hours of work each. I also have spent over 17 hours a week since freshman year at stuco.
On the other hand I have taken the most vigorous courses my school has to offer and currently am in 8 AP classes this year. I also took three SAT 2s Molecular Biology -650 Math level 2 -650 and US history- 620
