<p>Could you pelase tell me whether this sentence is correct? (I’m having problems with the verb: peek)</p>

<p>The sun was peeking from behind the clouds when I looked out of the airplane.</p>

<p>I think its correct. Obviously the sun doesn’t “peek” at all but it is a common metaphor.</p>
